Tirana Photo Festival 2025- Mediterranean
The Tirana Photo Festival 2025 took place from June 18 to 30, 2025, in Tirana, with the theme “MEDITERRANEAN” as part of Tirana’s designation as the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue for 2025.
Over 1,000 photos from 12 Mediterranean countries were submitted for this festival, from which 100 pictures and 7 photo series were selected for display in the exhibition, which was open for two weeks on the premises near the Puppet Theatre.

This was the 8th edition of the festival, which is now recognized as the most popular photography festival in terms of the number of applicants, its inclusiveness, and its duration.
WINNERS
At the Awards Ceremony on 24 June, the following photographers were honored. Denis Morina with the girl playing the violin at the Topojan Waterfall, winning first prize. A photographer from Hasi came in second place, Florie Cenalia, with her photo of rural Albania on a summer day.

In the Series category, Radoje Jovanovic from Montenegro was honored with awards for her series of pictures from Ulcinj.

At the same time, Mehmet Uluyurt was honored with the Best Author award for his authentic images of the underwater heart of the Mediterranean Sea.

An encouraging prize for the young photographer Esmeralda Korini, who presented a series of pictures featuring Mediterranean products, including olive oil, brandy, and fruits.

While the best video was announced by Altin Serani, a fantastic video promoting Mediterranean Albania was also shown. The festival was not only an exhibition and awards event, but also included workshops and photo tours.
WORKSHOPS
A workshop was held under the direction of Ben Blushi and Roland Tasho on Photography as a Project at COD

A photo safari was conducted under the direction of Albert Cmete and Fabian Kazo in the outskirts of Tirana, in the village of Allgjatë, to promote our natural beauty through landscape photography. We want to thank the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, as well as the Municipality of Tirana, for their support of the festival.
