Those Sweet Murky Waters- Movie

We warmly welcome you to join us at the screening of the film “Those Sweet, Murky Waters,” directed by Driant Zeneli, with the support of KAS and the Italian Cultural Institute, in the framework of the Memory Days ’24.
Inspired by our book “Against the Stream,” the film is built around the life of researcher Sabiha Kasmiati, who defied prejudices, the dictatorial regime, and even death itself in the name of freedom and science.
🔦 Drawing a parallel with the myth of Prometheus, Sabiha is portrayed as a fish that seizes the electric light from the dam to illuminate the murky water, leading to her tragic fate. At the film’s end, a panel discussion will feature Driant Zeneli | Director, Stefano Romano | Curator, and Vytene Muschick | Cultural Mediator.
