International Cultural Weeks in Tirana – JNK

“International Cultural Weeks” or JKN, is a platform of the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation that brings a series of events, which aim to recognize and embrace by the public different world cultures, to create a more inspiring future that unites us in diversity.

This year, the events start in May and will continue until November 2024. Every week- one country.

Each week is dedicated to a certain world culture that approaches the welcoming Albanian table through activities that best convey the richness of these cultures through films, melodies, architecture, costumes, cuisine and heritage.

JKN is a cultural parade that extends from May to November, becoming the headline of all the activities that enliven Albanian cities.

The main focus of this initiative is the creation of connecting bridges, the promotion of creativity and cultural exchange with an eye towards innovation, as a necessary tool to provide solutions and alternatives to the common challenges that the world is going through, through new artistic and cultural approaches.

The International Cultural Weeks, with their energy, transform the scene of activities in the country into an international multidisciplinary arena, thus presenting a wider offer for all ages, tastes and cultural backgrounds. Thanks to a dynamic and comprehensive program, JKN aims to create an extraordinary atmosphere and convey valuable messages that improve everyone’s footprint.
