FAB Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts The University of Arts opens the exhibition Substance in memory of Ali Oseku.

The curator of this exhibition says that this is not a retrospective, nor an archival exhibition, but an attempt to show in a synthesized way his life and work – divided between two times, which were reunited through color.

At the center of this exhibition is an early work, the diploma work, found by chance in the school yard; placed on the ground as an object that conveys the weight of memory, surpasses the painted subject and tells the whole story of the artist’s broken dream, refracted in dark times. On the walls around it stand several works from the new era, where light and space prevail, where color becomes language, and silence-message.
