When history is dressed in art! Come see the children’s fashion show that has turned mythological costumes into art

A special fashion show that combines art, history and imagination will take place on May 9 in Tirana, bringing to attention characters from Albanian mythology and antiquity, through children’s creations turned into clothing.

Inspired by stories from our cultural heritage, such as the Myth of Cadmus in Illyria, the dance of the nymphs in the Nymphaeum of Apollonia or the figure of Queen Teuta, the little ones, together with students from AZK Academy and the European University of Tirana (UET), will bring iconic characters to life through artistic costumes and performance.

This show is part of the grants of the “Heritage is Our Brand” project, funded by the European Union and implemented by DMO Albania and EU Policy Hub and comes under the care of Anila Zajmi-Katanollit. Come and enjoy this activity that aims to promote intangible cultural heritage and bring the younger generation closer to history and national identity through art and creativity.
