The end-of-year celebration has become a tradition held in the heart of the capital. In recent years, Albanians celebrate at home and then head out at midnight to watch the fireworks show in the city center. They enjoy the grand concert in Skanderbeg Square with the best local performers, followed by the countdown to the New Year. People embrace their loved ones and exchange good wishes while watching the fireworks display organized by the Municipality of Tirana.

Afterward, many continue the celebration in the city’s numerous bars, joining friends and family until the early hours of January 1. The performers for this year’s New Year’s Eve concert have not yet been announced, but the event itself is already certain — it takes place every year without exception.
