Il trittico – Giacomo Puccini

Il trittico – Three operas in one night
“Il Tabarro”, “Suor Angelica” and “Gianni Schichi”, by Giacomo Puccini, three works completely different from each other, united by a single element: DEATH “Is night. An old boat is moored on the Seine…” this is how “Il Tabarro” begins, a love story with a tragic end in the Paris of great romances. “Suor Angelica” takes us to the 17th century. In a nunnery. A girl suffers her punishment, forced to dress as a nun and never see her own child. Gianni Schichi, the most interesting character of Florence of those years, finds himself in the costume of a rich man who has just passed away, but left a will that upset the family.
Posing as a rich man on his deathbed to leave a new will, Gianni confuses everyone with his exploits. Three scenographers, brought exclusively from Italy for this show, with the support of the Fondazione Festival Pucciniano and the Italian Institute of Culture, on the 100th anniversary of Puccini’s death.
“Il Trittico”, the work you should not miss, will come to TKOB on February 29 and March 1, 2, 3.
You can find tickets every day at the TKOB ticket office from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00
