Catholic Easters in Albania

Easter is the celebration of Christ’s resurrection three days after his crucifixion. Remembering Christ’s resurrection is a way to renew the daily hope of victory over sin. On Easter, we celebrate the great mystery, the foundation of the Christian religion, and hope: Jesus of Nazareth, the Crucified One, rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. The news that the angels gave to Mary of Magdala and the women who had come to the tomb at the dawn of the first day after the Sabbath, we hear today with emotion: “Why do you seek the living among the dead? It’s not here! It is resurrected!”. (Lk. 24, 5-6).
