Festive November or Red and Black month. The month in which Albanians celebrate their Independence Day and Liberation Day. It has become a tradition now that these are the most important holidays for Albanians living all over the world.

The vibrant red and black colors, symbolizing the Albanian flag, are prominently displayed throughout the city, creating a festive atmosphere. As the leaves change color and fall, the streets are adorned with golden and russet hues, making it a picturesque time to explore Tirana.

November’s Suggestions

Exciting activities!

On Albanian national holidays, various vibrant events are organized in Tirana, especially on November 28, which marks the Proclamation of Independence. This day is characterized by students wearing the traditional colors of red and black, enthusiastically singing and dancing throughout the city. Musical entertainment includes lively performances from the Tirana Band, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The following day, November 29, is also significant as it commemorates the Day of Liberation from Nazi occupation. Known locally as Nata e Bardhë (White Night), this celebration transforms Tirana into a hub of festivities, featuring notable concerts, artistic exhibitions, and various other activities.

Additionally, November 17 symbolizes the liberation of the Albanian capital, Tirana, and is remembered with pride.
