Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) is a middle-class American husband and father, disillusioned with his existence and begins to search for new excitement in life. As he experiences a new awakening of the senses, his wife and daughter also undergo changes that severely affect their family. What follows is simultaneously cynical, hysterical and with a tragic ending.
