For those who will be in Tirana before the end of July, the ON READING exhibition by the extraordinary American photographer Steve McCurry, at the COD - Center For Openness And Dialogue center is absolutely not to be missed.
71 shots selected by the artist, with the Italian curator Biba Giaccbetti, to immortalize in every place of the world the need of everyone (therefore I would say the primary need) to read: in the middle of environmental disasters, in very poor slums, in places of worship, in the most exposed schools in African villages, in homes, everywhere and for everyone: old, children, rich, poor.
Reading that can transport you to another world, where, despite everything, they still find room for fantasy, the sacredness of inner silence, the need to escape.
Along with the works dedicated to reading, there are also extraordinary shots, with portraits of unmistakable power, owned by the master, author of the famous shot of the Afghan girl with cat eyes.
Don't miss this exhibition!
