Liberation Day

Liberation Day in Albania is commemorated as the day, November 29, 1944, in which the country was liberated from Nazi Germany forces after the Albanian resistance during World War II. This is the second day of a two day holiday period, as Liberation Day is always preceded by Independence Day on November 28th. The events on this day include: visits at the graves of partisan heroes at cemetry Nene Shqiperi, White Night concert, partisan fires etc. This year the festive activities are banned because of pandemic.
