The Song of the Sea by Tomm Moore
(2014 - 1h 33min - animated film, family, fantasy) Ben and Maïna live with their father at the top of a lighthouse, on a small island. To protect them from the dangers of the sea, their grandmother takes them with them to live in the city. Then, Benny discovers that his little sister is a celery, a sea fairy whose song can rid the magical beings of the ugly witch's curse. In a fantastic journey, Ben and Maine will have to face fears and dangers as well as fight against witchcraft to help magical beings regain their power. This co-production between Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France and Luxembourg has won the Best Animated Film Award at the European Film Awards and was nominated in the same category for the Césars and Oscars.
The screening of the film will be followed by a reception on the occasion of St. Patrick's Day
