September is considered just like the New Year, especially for Tirana Capital. Tirana is becoming busy this month. People are coming back from vacations, children are starting school. Businesses plan to start new projects and investments for this month. This year the New Government also takes office with this month.
The cultural life takes new dimensions. The theatres are populating their calendar with plays and shows, galleries host new exhibitions.
Through Visit Tirana you can get informed for all the calendar of events in September, so you can fully enjoy your stay in our city. In fact the spring and autumn are the best seasons to Visit Tirana. With the September the autumn comes, but not in Tirana.
The weather get a bit cooler, making it pleasant to walk in parks and streets and see Tirana attractions. Don’t miss a one hour tour to Skanderbeg Square, National Museum, Clock Tower, Museum house of Leaves, and all the buildings along the Main Boulevard of Tirana ending to the Mother Teresa Square, to the painted carped called “sixhade”.
When it comes to culinary, Tirana is the best city in Albania as it offers numerous restaurants with very good cuisine and lots of bars to enjoy some relaxing hours with best cocktails
In the evening you can choose to walk to Skanderbeg Square or Pedestrian Street Murat Toptani, listen to street musicians and have a coffee or a beer in the open bars along the street. Or you can attend the cultural events, operas, theatres, or going to cinemas. Don't miss the big concert of famous Albanian violinist Mr Shkelzen Doli on 23 September at Skanderbeg Square.
If you like outdoor activities you can choose the Dajti Adventures Park, which is new in the city. Or you can book a day trip with tour operators in the city to visit the attractions outside Tirana, such as Pellumbas Cave, Cyclops Eye, Bovilla Lake and other places.
