What to do in February in Tirana

Welcome in Tirana in February, the month of 100 anniversary of Tirana as Capital of Albania. On 11^th February 1920 Tirana became the Capital of Albania by a decision of the Congress of Lushnja. This was a historic day for Tirana.

Many acitivites are organized this month by Tirana Municipality, with the biggest one in 11th of February, a big concert in Skanderbeg Square. 

February is called differently the Love Month, because of Valentine Day.  This is the time of early spring when love and romance blossom in the air. This is also the month which signifies the end of winter as life freshly hatches from its slumber. One of the first signs is the fresh exuberance of the mimosa flower, a beautiful and wonderous sight to behold.

This is the time when the days lengthen in Tirana, and so does the enthusiasm in the nightlife. The streets fill with people and the bars are immersed with life. February started with some snow in Dajti Mount. Why not take the Cable Car and go to the Mount for only 15 minutes ride. There you can play with snowballs, try a horse ride, have a good lunch with spectacualar view.
