Open Calls for Tirana Photo Festival 2019

Tirana Photo Festival is not just a photo contest. It is the biggest event for photography in the country. The first premiere edition was held from 1-9 November 2019 at National History Museum in Tirana.

This year edition is set for 8-15 October 2019 at National History Museum. Tirana Photo Festival gathers in one place all photographers, amateurs and professionals in a series of activities which include: photo and video contests, exhibitions, workshops, photo walks, forums etc. For one week we talk about photography and have many visitors.

For this year there are these open calls from 1 May to 1 September 2019

1. A photo contest with theme: Natural and Cultural Heritage of Albania. 5 winners will be announced. The winner of First prize will get a Professional Camera worth 1000 euro offered by Fujifilm Albania. The winner of second prize will get 40 000 Leke and the winner of 3^rd prize will get 20 000 leke. The best youngest photographers will take an Instax Camera offered by Fujifilm Albania. The author of the best voted photo, will get an Instax Camera offered by Fujifilm Albania. The best photos will be shown in exhibition in days of Festival from 8-15 October 2019
2. A call for exhibitors: All professional photographers are invited to send their series of photos up to 10 photo. Only few works will be selected to be published in exhibition in October.
3. Call for videos. A new call is opening this year for best video. The videos should be no longer than 1 minute and featuring the best views from Albania. The winner will get an instax camera offered by Fujifilm Albania.

Workshops and photo tour

Two workshops are planned during the days of festival. Young passionate photographers who want to learn more will take lessons from best photographers in Albania.

Photo tours are open for people who want to explore and learn how to take photos in the nature. Forums are planned with students from high school who will be invited to visit the exhibition and ask questions to our photographers.

An album will be produced with the photos of Festival and will be distributed during the opening day.

Tirana Photo Festival is organized by DMO ALBANIA (destination Management Organization) and Visit Tirana, tourism portal of the city, with support of Ministry of Culture and Tirana Municipality and Fujifilm Albania. Our partner for online payment is EasyPay.
