May 5 - Free Cars Day in Tirana

Every 5th of May, the Municipality of Tirana organizes the Free Cars Day. A day of awareness for all citizens to use their cars less in the city, instead of walking or biking for a better health and air quality.

During this day, several activities took place in four spots in Tirana.

In the "Skanderbeg Square" was held a concert by the choir of the Artistic Lyceum, and children performances of QKKF. Mini-polygon shooting and paintball were two other activities that attracted quite a few young people.

Along the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, citizens visited the antiquarian Fair, the State Police Fair, watched Albanian movies about war and enjoyed the games by Eco Volis.

In the "Mother Teresa" square was placed the fair by the Ministry of Defense.

In the Great Artificial Lake Park was held the marathon "Wing For Life World Run 2019". The Book Corner and Playground was quite frequented.
