From Skanderbeg Square to Artificial Lake, Dajti Mountain and other surrounding areas of Tirana we have selected the best photos of this week, many of them are part of our photo contest #TiranaWinter2019. The selection was made to show the different dimensions of Tirana.
Let’s start with the photo of the super moon captured by Gerti Shella showing the supermoon shinning on the edge of Dajti Mountain. The photos of supermoon ‘bombed’ social medias on 19 February but we’ve picked the most impressive one.
The Castle of Tirana since it was reopening on December has attracted a lot of visitors. We get photos every day from the castle but this week we selected the photo drone by @ capture.blog.
Winter sunsets are stunning. Our community of photographers sent us a lot of sunsets and we wore really impressed with the photo from Skanderbeg square, a pink sunset captured by Nertil Zhuri.
The Petrela Castle is one of the most preferred destination outside Tirane, especially during weekends. Visitors are attracted for the history of the castle and the location with wonderful views from the Erzeni valley and the surrounding area. The photo from the Petrela Castle was sent by @fab_muh.
Of course, we couldn’t miss a photo from Tirana's Artificial Lake. A warm picture during the twilight showing the silhouettes of a father and feeding the ducks. Photo credits: Apostjon Thimjo .
