Reviving the culture tradition of folk dance

The revival of culture tradition, especialy folk music and dance, is one of the challenges every nation face towards educating youth generations. In this framework the Beder University College organized lately the Contest “Lets dance among Albanian Folk Songs”

This contest was held in the framework of the students initiative “Save tradition, Celebrate in Albanian” and was organized by the students of second year of Master’s Degree in Public Relations.

The event was attended by Young People and children from different ensembles from Tirana and other disctricts . The aim was to unveil the folk traditions through sounds of famous Albanian dances. 

The jury was very profesional, made up with known figures of Albanian art and coreography, such as Genc Kastrati- a famous ballet Dancer, Isida Malloymeri – a ballerin, and the best dancer of National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dance, Liljana Cingu. They choose the winners amond 18 participating groups in contest.

The aim of this event was to keep alive the centuries old tradition of Albanian folk dances and costumes.
