How is celebrated Valentine’s Day in Tirana? Well the rainy weather prevented the joyful atmosphere in the streets of Tirana as happened in previous years. But the city was decorated with hearts and flowers. We walked in the main streets of Tirana to take pictures and bring you some details from the celebrations of this Day.
A very beautiful spot for couples were placed at Skanderbeg square, the corner of love, where couples can go inside “love frame” and take pictures.
Another place very famous in Tirana is the installation “I love Tirana” located in Rinia Park, decorated especially for this day. Couples had bought locks and placed them at this installation with their initials.
The Clock Tower has attracted a lot of attention these last days, because of decorations with ‘hearts’ hanging from the balcony. Couples couldn’t leave without taking pictures of the clock tower and they ask people around to take them a picture as a couple.
Grand Park of Tirana is one of the most frequented places in Tirana, where couples go and take a walk around the artificial lake. This year was a little bit different the atmosphere, because the Municipality of Tirana shift the event at Farka Lake, where couples will plant their tree as a symbol of their love.
Meanwhile a great concert is planned to be held at New Bazaar in Tirana, at 18.00. Albanian renowned singers and DJs will perform tonight to lighten up the atmosphere of Saint Valentine.
