Albania has almost 300 sunny days in a year. But what to do for the rest, let’s say for 65 other days? In Tirana rainy and grim days are perfect to hide somewhere, meanwhile you may find plenty things to do.
Skanderbeg square this time of the year is very inviting. The square is very beautiful and now is filled with wooden houses that are turned into souvenir shops, bars where you can drink a beer and enjoy some Albanian food.
If you are a lover of art and culture you may choose to go in some galleries. These days are open two interesting exhibitions in Tirana galleries one at National Art Gallery and tirana Art Gallery both are opened. For some intriguing history go to museums.
Shopping is another good option. Some trade center are situated outside but also in the Center of Tirana. So you can reach each of them easily, by car (TEG, QTU, City Park, Casa Italia) or walking (Toptani, Coin, Kristal Center, Concord Center etc)
All these trade centers have activities for children, so it is good to spend a rainy day there. Coffee shops, restaurants, or cinemas are also available and open.
Some people prefer to spend grey and grimy days at home, reading. In fact there are some bookstores or special bars, offering the best books. So you can enjoy a coffee while reading.
It never gets boring in Tirana. We love our city in every season.
Hope you do, too! Have a relaxing rainy day
